Start with how your family will use the home. Do you need guest rooms, a quiet work room, separate family spaces or easier ground-floor access? Explain the needs behind your choices.

Describe the outdoor space you want, such as a garden, sit-out or play area. Do not assume every villa has the same privacy or layout. Check the particular home.
