Furnished, semi-furnished or unfurnished: what do you need?
Make a list of the furniture and appliances you need before choosing a furnished, semi-furnished or unfurnished home. Ask what will stay, what works and what the owner will remove. The label alone does not confirm the items included in a particular flat or house.
Before you speak to us
- Tell us what you need
Keep your area, budget and must-haves ready.
- Ask your questions
Write down what still needs checking.
- Discuss the next step
Decide what to check before going ahead.
What items do you need in the home?
List what you already own and what you need from the rental home. Think about beds, storage, kitchen fittings and appliances. Mark which items are a must for your move.
Tell us if you can arrange some items yourself. Instead of relying only on a furnished or semi-furnished label, ask for the actual item list for that home.
- Items you already have.
- Items you need from the owner.
- Items you can arrange later.
What should you ask during the visit?
Ask which furniture and appliances will remain when you move in. A photo may show items that belong to the present occupant. Check what the owner is actually including.
Ask about the present condition and who to contact if an included item needs repair. Note any answer still pending. Do not treat something you saw during a visit as automatically included.
- What stays and what goes.
- Present condition of included items.
- Repair questions to clarify.
Which option will suit your move?
Compare the included items with your own needs and moving plan. More furniture is not useful if it does not suit you or you already own the same items.
Share your monthly budget, advance budget and moving date along with the item list. We can discuss the requirement without claiming that a suitable furnished home is already available.
- Your useful item list.
- Budget and moving date.
- Furnishing needs you can adjust.
What to do now
Call with your area, furnishing needs, rent budget and moving date.
