Decide how keys and access will be handled for visits
Decide who will attend visits and how access will be confirmed before sharing any key or entry arrangement. Ask the person holding keys what they can help with. Keep codes and private access details out of public notes, property descriptions and general messages.

Who is responsible for opening the home?
Name the person you have asked to show the home and confirm their availability directly. If a neighbour or relative has a key, do not assume they are available for property visits without discussing it.
Explain which rooms or spaces can be shown and who needs notice before access. A vacant home and an occupied home may need different practical arrangements. Tell our team what has been agreed instead of leaving the access plan to be inferred from possession of a key.
How should an appointment be confirmed?
Use the agreed contact to confirm the time, person attending and purpose of the visit. Ask what happens if someone is delayed or needs to cancel. Keep a new appointment separate from an earlier request that was never confirmed.
Do not post a door code or leave entry instructions in a public property description. If private information must be shared for an agreed visit, discuss the appropriate route with the people involved. The website does not provide a public key-sharing or access-code service.
What should be reviewed after a visit?
Check with the agreed contact that the visit has ended and any key or access item is where it should be. If an arrangement changes, update the people involved before another appointment is requested.
Keep questions about later tenant access separate from viewing access. Permission to view is a specific arrangement, and should not be treated as permission for a different visit or purpose. Raise any unresolved access concern with our team before continuing the property discussion.
What to do now
Call with the proposed visit contact and the access arrangement you want clarified.
