Decide what property photos you are comfortable sharing

Decide which rooms can be photographed, what personal details should stay out and who may receive the images before sharing anything. Ask why a photograph is needed and how it will be used. An enquiry with INSTLE REAL ESTATE does not require publicly posting your home or personal details.

Decide what to check before going ahead.

What should stay out of a photograph?

Look for family photographs, private papers, screens, door codes and belongings that reveal personal information. If another person lives in the home, discuss permission before taking an image of their space.

You can begin the property conversation with a room description instead of a photograph. If a particular image is useful later, discuss the purpose first. Avoid sharing an entire photo collection when a limited description or selected image would answer the question.

What should you ask before sharing?

Ask which part of the property the image is meant to explain and who needs to see it. Keep a proposed use separate from permission you have already given. If you want the recipient to ask again before forwarding, make that concern clear.

Do not send photographs through an unconfirmed upload or an unfamiliar contact route. Discuss the approved way to share any material with our team first. The website does not offer public property galleries, and the first enquiry does not need private property papers.

How can you keep the description accurate?

Use images of the particular room or feature being discussed, taken with permission. Explain if the picture is old or if furniture has changed. Do not substitute another property’s photograph to make a room look more attractive.

Keep a note of what you shared and the purpose you discussed. If the home’s condition or your permission changes, tell the agreed contact. Clear image use supports the discussion without turning personal belongings or an occupied home into public advertising.
